About the drip
What the Myers Cocktail Drip is
The Myers Cocktail is the original vitamin drip. It is named after Dr John Myers, a physician in Baltimore who gave patients intravenous vitamins and minerals in the 1960s and 1970s. After his death, colleagues published a modified version of his formula, and that formula is the ancestor of nearly every IV vitamin drip sold today.
Our version follows the modern standard: B vitamins, vitamin B12, magnesium and vitamin C in a saline base. It is the drip to choose if you want the recognised formulation rather than a branded blend.

Magnesium can cause a warm flushing sensation as it goes in, which is normal and settles quickly; the clinician can slow the drip if needed.

What to expect

Settle in
You will be seated in a reclining chair in a private treatment room.

The cannula
A trained clinician inserts a small cannula, usually into the arm or hand, and connects the infusion. Most people describe a small scratch and nothing more.

The drip
You are free to read, work or rest while the drip runs. We check on you throughout.

Afterwards
We stay with you for a short period afterwards. You can drive, work and carry on with your day immediately.
Before you book
Safety and suitability
Every IV infusion at FastHeal Clinic Woking starts with a consultation and health screening. A prescriber reviews your medical history, current medicines and any allergies before anything is prepared. Some people should not have an IV nutrient infusion, including anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, anyone with kidney disease, heart failure, or certain metabolic conditions, and anyone under 18. If we are not confident an infusion is appropriate for you, we will say so and suggest an alternative.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Will it give me more energy?
We cannot promise that, and we will not. The Myers Cocktail contains nutrients involved in normal energy metabolism, but evidence that a one-off infusion changes how energetic a healthy person feels is limited. Some clients say they feel better afterwards; some feel no different.
Is vitamin B12 by injection prescription-only?
Yes. Injectable B12 is a prescription-only medicine in the UK, which is why every drip is reviewed and prescribed by a prescriber at FastHeal before it is prepared.
How is this different from the Signature Drip?
The Signature Drip replaces vitamin C with 1,200mg of glutathione and costs £430. The Myers Cocktail is the more established formulation and a third of the price.
